It's Halloween Time!

Okay this year is going to be awsome. The kids have there costumes and are all ready to go. This year they will actually get to trick or treat on Halloween night instead of the night before. Lou Lou actually get's to go this year, she's going to be a little lamb. Lil' Joe (lion) won't make it out but we are going to dress him up with the girls and take a whole lot of pictures. Bink will be going as Scarlet O'Hara (southern belle) and Boo will be going as Queen Guinevere (little princess).

I'm so excited. Of course we're all down with the flu and aren't feeling good, hopefully we are all over it by Saturday. I've got to go get ready for work. Talk to you all later.

Happy Halloween everybody! Save tricker treating!

Well I only got one entry for my "Your Character Pagent" so I am going to start the contest over and try to advertise it a bit more than previously. But for the moment I'm going to leave that alone.

I heard some disturbing news the day after Halloween, from my mother-in-law. In the town where me and my family had previously lived a little boy was shot and killed on Halloween Night. Below is the details that I was told:

[ The 12 year old boy, his father, and the boys
elder brother, were trick-or-treating. They
stoped at a man's house and rang the door
bell, the man (heartless bast...) comminsed to
shooting the door with an assult rifle,
killing the boy. Then he opened the door and
shot the fahter and the elder brother. Who are
now in the hospital in intensive care. When
the man was asked why he did it he said: "I
thought they were trying to rob me." ]

I can't believe someone would actually kill a child (at all) let alone on Halloween night. What is this world coming to.

My heart goes out to this family in their time of need, but I can't help but think that could have been my daughter's. What if we had still been living their and took them to that house ourselves trick-or-treating.

Halloween is supposed to be a fun time for children to dress up and get some candy, but now-a-days you can't trust someone not to hurt your child. When I was a kid we had to worry about someone poisioning the candy, which was rare. Now you got to worry that some crazed individual with an asualt rifle may start to shooting because he's afraid a 12 year old kid is going to rob him. Lord have mercy!

Well I have nothing better to do, so I thought I'd write in my journal. I was just thinking about how I haven't gotten any new members for my Wildfire Fanlist (the 80's cartoon not the tv show) and then I remembered that I hadn't posted the link here before and that how can people join if they know nothing about it. Well Amjara tagged me so now I've got to share 8 things about myself.

1. When I was 21 I met my soul mate, Chris, we were married soon after.

2. I'm a Jem nut, but most people don't know that I also love Wildfire, She-Ra, He-man, Sailor Moon, Skeleton Warriors, Pirates of Dark Waters, and X-men just to mention a few. (I own a Wildfire Fanlist [link] go check it out and join if your a fan.)

3. I have two daughter's who are my whole world, and who love Jem along with me.

4. I am going to school (2nd time around) to become a Medical Records Clerk.

5. I am a part of the Ready to Work Ready to Learn program.

6. My ultimate favorite ever movie is Ladyhawke.

7. My first ever huge crush (it lasted 6 years) was on a guy in my kintergarden class, named Chaz. (I finally admited it, mom LOL)

8. I lived in Gautemala for 6mo as when I was 9 - 10. My father was murdered there.
